October 2001 - Cape San Blas, FL, an islet on the Gulf of Mexico. White sand beaches, turquoise waters... a beautiful, quiet beach location. Ranked #1 beach in the U.S.A by Dr. Beach in May 2002. Just miles and miles of white dunes and emerald water. The sound of the ocean with pelicans in formation, buzzing the waves. With the World Trade Center towers collapsing just weeks before, difficulty in getting air flights to Florida, it’s a miracle we had as many as we did. Most of the gang was there, and we got to welcome more newcomers to our group: SherryR, Jill, Jenna and Brittany. We had sessions at the condos, on the beach, and after dinner at night. We had a traditional shrimp boil one night, and then there was the Blue Parrot restaurant. They are still probably talking about our group! We left tanned, rested and ready to take on the world.
